EXCITES filly Stirring Emotion notched her first win as a three-year-old when scoring a popular victory in today’s Narromine 3YO Plate (1200m) in New South Wales.
The Brett Thompson trained bay started at 1/10 on ($1.10) on the strength of her recent second in last month’s preitigious Dubbo Silver Goblet 2YO Handicap (1120m).
Stirring Emotion’s latest triumph is her second win inside 7 starts and another example of how the Excites progeny appear to be “training on” after a spectacularly opening to his freshman year where he sired five winners from just 13 starters.
The filly has a genuine Vinery feel about her being delivered from Red Fever (her first foal), a daughter of Vinery Stud’s foundation sire and member of the “100 Stakeswinners Club” Red Ransom.
Stirring Emotion is a out of a half sister to Blue Diamond Prelude winner Way West and boasts the triple Grade 1 winning American mare Annaocnnor as her third dam adding considerably to her residual value after she finishes racing.
Stirring Emotion, purchased by Thompson at the 2010 Inglis Classic Yearling sale, has already fully repaid her purchase price with the promise of more to come not least from various BOBS top-ups available to her over the next 12 months.
