VINERY star Testa Rossa broke new ground this afternoon when siring his first ever stakeswinner in New Zealand.
Named Testa Secret, the Australian-bred filly had no trouble adding today’s Listed AuRC Castletown Stakes (1200m) to her Awapuni maiden win on debut in April.
The Kevin Gray-trained two-year-old becomes Testa Rossa’s 34 individual stakeswinner joining the likes of Rostova, Ortensia, Testafiable, Sistine Angel, Vormista, Red Colossus and Publishing.
Testa Secret is an especially well bred mare.
Her dam, Acacian Secret (CAN) is a daughter of Silver Deputy (by Deputy Minister) and traces on a direct line to the famed US broodmare, Natasha.
