OUTSTANDING Dubleo mare Dubleanny booked herself a ticket to Adelaide for next month’s Group 1 SAJC Goodwood Handicap after another dominant win at Flemington yesterday.
The four-year-old mare recorded her seventh career victory from 14 starts including five from six at Flemington.
The Mick Price trained mare was sent out the $2.30 favourite in the Open Handicap but the result was never in doubt, Dubleanny’s superior turn of foot catapulting him to a comfortable 1.3-lens win.
”Dubleanny is a high class mare,” says Vinery’s Adam White.
”She has been that way from the beginning and apart from a couple of runs where she had genuine excuses, she’s been in the finish every time.
”The Goodwood should suit her, those 1200m handicaps are usually run fast and we know Dubleanny likes to find her feet, balance up and let down with that huge sprint.”
