TESTA Rossa filly Pane In The Glass handed in a sterling Champagne Stakes trial when flashing home to take third in yesterday’s Group 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick.
The Nathan Tinkler owned chestnut had only one horse behind her turning for home making up many lengths to finish just 0.5-lens from the winner Helmet.
Pane In The Glass is yet to miss a place in her six starts with earnings close to $500,000.
The filly won the Inglis Nursery and Inglis Classic by a combined margin of 8.8-lens prior to consecutive placings in the Sweet Embrace and Magic Night Stakes.
”Pane In The Glass will be very hard to hold out at the end of a mile, particularly at a t a big track like Randwick,” Vinery’s Adam White reckoned.
”She has the makings of a very good spring three-year-old especially in a race like the One Thousand Guineas.”
