SUCCESSFUL owner/breeder Bob Peters is no doubt hoping he has another Dreamaway to look forward to after spending $750,000 on a stunning More Than Ready filly at today’s Easter Yearling sale in Sydney.
Lot 93 from Segenhoe Stud (as agent) is the ninth foal delivered by two-year-old stakeswinner, True Blonde, who is also a half-sister to Snippets.
”It was a great sale, particularly early on in the sale when the market is still trying to settle,” Vinery’s Adam White said.
”The filly’s three-quarter-sister, Colour, sold for $1.6 million at the 2010 Easter sale and she went on to win a Group 3 as a two-year-old, so hopefully, this one can do the same for Bob and Sandra, if not win a string of them.”
The Peters’ certainly know a good More Than Ready when they see one, their homebred Dreamaway, has won her past five straight including the WATC Oaks/Derby double.
