Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready will begin pre-training on Monday ahead of her spring campaign.
Trainer Mick Price said the filly would begin her preparation at the Rockmount facility north east of Melbourne reported Racing and Sports.
Samaready started favourite in the Golden Slipper on April 7 but suffered her first defeat in five starts when third behind Pierro and Snitzerland.
The filly was spelled while Pierro went on to complete the final two legs of the juvenile Group One triple crown, the Sires’ Produce and Champagne Stakes.
Price said Samaready would be aimed at the Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield in October.
“If she indicates she’ll handle a mile (1600m) that’s the way we’ll be going with her,” Price said.
Samaready is raced by a syndicate which includes Vinery Stud which stands her sire More Than Ready.
A Group One winner in the United States over 1400 metres, More Than Ready was placed at 1600 and 1800 metres while Samaready’s dam Samar also won over 1400 metres.
