DUBLEO three-year-old Hot Diggity is likely to feature at next month’s Scone Cup carnival after recording his third win from four starts at Tamworth on the weekend.
So impressive has the Mark Mason trained 3yo been, that it started at the prohibitive odds of twos-on in the old language despite skipping a grade in the Class 3 Handicap.
It made no difference to the lightly-raced gelding who was able to win with almost a length in hand.
It was the second win from as many starts this time in for the tough 3yo following a 51 week break from his last 2yo race.
Now boasting three wins and a second from his four starts, Hot Diggity has proven to be a tremendous investment for Mason given that he cost just $3500 at the 2010 Scone Yearling Sale and has so far earned $38,800.
Dubleo has sired 60 winners (from 95 starters) in Australia and boasts an enviable 63.5 percent winners to runners ratio.
