DUBLEO mare Dubleanny’s enviable record up the famous Flemington straight should be enough to seal victory when she resumes in tomorrow’s VRC Mrs Mac’s Beef Pies Sprint (1100m).
The Mick Price trained 4YO has visited Flemington on four occasions posting three wins including the Listed VRC A.R. Creswick Stakes (1200m) back in June.
While she hasn’t raced since her 0.3-lens second in the Listed MRC Kevin Heffernan Stakes (1300m), Dubleanny looked sharp in a recent Cranbourne 800m trial.
”You could make the case that her first-up record, as good as it is, should be even better,” Vinery’s Conor Phelan.
”She just loves Flemington and even though there are only six in the race tomorrow, there does look to be enough pace on for her to unleash that big finish that she has.”
Dubleanny has raced at (or around) the 1100m three times returning two wins and a second behind Set For Fame in the Group two MRC Caulfield Sprint.
