DAY Two of the 2011 Magic Millions saw an further increase in demand for progeny day of Vinery Stud resident sire More Than Ready whose opening day results were dazzling.
Two $400,000 plus yearlings within the space of an hour helped More Than Ready’s average rocket past $190,000 against the current sales figure of $127,000 (at the conclusion of day two).
More Than Ready yearlings averaged $177, 272 on the opening day and were bought by racing luminaries such as Mark Kavanagh, Duncan Ramage, Gerald Ryan, Lee Freedman, Neville Parnham, Danny O’Brien and Gai Waterhouse.
Joining them on day two were Hall of Fame trainer David Hayes, Mick Price, John O’Shea, Payne Racing, James Bester and Mr Katsumi Yoshida, owner of 2006 Melbourne Cup quinella Delta Blues and Pop Rock.
The day-two highlights for More Than Ready supporters came towards the end of the session, beginning with Baramul Stud’s black coloured grandson of Lady Jakeo.
Rosehill trainer, Gerald Ryan won the day with a final bid of $450,000.
Soon after, Anthony Cummings secured his second More Than Ready on day two spending $440,000 on the Moon Dragon filly from Strawberry Hills Stud.
”Today was another great day for More Than Ready at the Magic Millions,” Vinery Stud’s Adam White said.
”His figures actually went up on the first day in terms of the average and of course he had those two yearlings sell upwards of $400,000.
”We are delighted to see just who is buying the More Than Ready’s, it’s gives them a rolled gold opportunity to be their best.”
