LARGEST BOOK IN 2024
Exceedance covered his largest book to date in 2024 with over 180 mares including 28 Stakes-performing mares, among which are 12 individual Stakes winners, as well as 12 dams of Stakes winners. On average, he has covered over 141 mares in each of his first five seasons at stud.
FIRST CROP 5.7% STAKEWINNERS/RUNNERS
The first crop of Exceedance boasts four individual stakes winners giving him a strike rate of 5.7%. Headed by ATC Dulcify Stakes winner Swiftfalcon who was also Group 1 placed in both the Randwick and Rosehill Guineas. Other first crop Stakes winners include Dublin Down, a dual Group 3 winner in Melbourne and Sydney, Group 3 David Coles Stakes winner Flyer as well as Listed winner Dance To The Boom.
STRONG DEMAND
In 2025, yearlings continued to be in high demand at the sales. Over 40% of his stock sold for three times his current service fee and up to a high of $320,000. This current crop of yearlings have entered the strong stables of Hawkes Racing, Ciaron Maher, Ryan/Alexiou, Price/Kent Racing, Peter Snowden, Kris Lees, Matt Laurie, Shane Nichols, Robert Heathcote, Jason Warren, etc.
PROVEN VERSATILITY
From just two crops, Exceedance has produced winners in both hemispheres with 44 individual winners, across Australia (37), New Zealand (6) and Japan (1). These winners come from 33 different broodmare sires, underscoring his versatility.
