A prolific source of precocious speed and a three-time Champion Sire, I Am Invincible has consistently produced elite performers, and increasingly, his sons are following suit.

A Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed sprinter with a profile strikingly similar to his sire, Hawaii Five Oh has made an encouraging start at stud, with his first crop already attracting widespread praise from breeders and buyers a like.

Selling for more than six times his service fee from a limited offering at the 2026 weaning sales, his progeny have quickly demonstrated their commercial appeal, setting the stage for an exciting first yearling crop in 2027.

Emma McNamara of Noorilm Park sold the Hawaii Five Oh x Foxiest colt on behalf of breeder Rob Dunnet for $80,000 at the Inglis Australian Weanling sale, with the mare returning to the stallion last spring.

“He just looked like a really expensive Vinnie. He’s always had so much strength to him and he’s such a beautifully well-balanced animal. There’s just class about him… he has a beautiful overstep and moves along nicely.”

Hall of Fame Bloodstock’s Leo To was equally impressed after purchasing the Hawaii Five Oh x Toomai filly from Carramar Park for $90,000.

“Having inspected all of Hawaii Five Oh’s progeny at the weaning sales, in my eyes she was the best representation of her sire. I have bred to him in his first two seasons at stud and will be supporting him again this year”

The positive feedback extends well beyond the sales ring. Middlebrook Valley Lodge’s Bernie Kane has been equally enthusiastic about the consistency of the stallion’s progeny.

“We’ve got five of them on the farm and from the day they were born they’ve been beautifully stamped. They’re all correct, they have great temperaments, and they all look and act the same. We sent four mares back in his second season and we’ll probably send another five or six this year ”

The confidence shown by breeders is reflected in the numbers. Hawaii Five Oh covered 340 mares across his first two seasons at stud, giving him every opportunity to establish himself as one of the country’s most exciting young sires.

With his first yearlings set to enter the sale ring in 2027, the early indicators suggest Hawaii Five Oh is a stallion firmly on the rise

If the reception to his first weanlings is any indication, his first yearlings will be among the most anticipated of the season.
