All Too Hard gelding Song Of Nature is on a hat-trick in Singapore and trainer Jason Ong believes there’s more wins ahead now that his hoof issues have been resolved.

Song Of Nature had just pipped stablemate The Wild One over 1200m at Kranji last month and he stretched the margin to two lengths on Sunday after charging home to win running away over the same distance from Galaxy Star (Fastnet Rock).

“I thought he would run well last time especially as we knew The Wild Prince would go forward,” Ong said.  “They ran one-two so it worked out well and he trialled nicely last week.

“I’ve always liked him but he had a few issues.  My farrier Jessen Dennison has done a very good job to get him right and we know he can race over longer than 1200m as well.”

Ong has finished top of the local trainers in Singapore for the past two seasons with a successful game plan.  “Race programming has a big say in when they head to the races,” he explained.  “But if a horse is fit and happy, they run.”

Song Of Nature (4g All Too Hard – Madame Lily by More Than Ready) was a $50,000 graduate of the 2020 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale when offered by Bhima Thoroughbreds.  His dam had been sold carrying the Singapore expat for $725,000 at the 2018 Magic Millions National Sale.
