OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Vinery Stud is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate thoroughbred industry person to join our team as Operations Coordinator. This is a full-time role based at our Hunter Valley location 10-minutes from Scone.
The successful candidate will possess excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills, along with a strong knowledge and understanding of the thoroughbred industry. Reporting to the Stud Manager, this role also requires the ability to work as part of a team.
Experience with Ardex or a similar stud management program is essential, as are strong computer skills.
The remuneration package is negotiable and will reflect the experience of the successful applicant. The start date will be determined in consultation with the chosen candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating stallion coverings
- Organising horse movements
- Processing data relating to all horses on the stud
- Liaising daily with clients and other farms
- Liaising with veterinarians and transport companies
- Liaising with insurance companies

YEARLING PREPARATION STAFF
Vinery Stud, a leading thoroughbred nursery, is currently seeking reliable and self-motivated individuals to join our passionate and professional team for the yearling sale season. We are conveniently located just 10 minutes from Scone, at the heart of the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. The picturesque Hunter Valley offers boutique shops, sporting clubs, restaurants, and nearby wineries.
We are looking for yearling preparation team members with the following skills and qualities:
- Previous experience in yearling preparation and sales presentation is desired but not required.
- Integrity, passion, and enthusiasm with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- The ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to:
- Develop horsemanship skills.
- Work with quality horses as part of a top-class team.
- Build valuable industry connections and relationships.
- Attend major yearling sales across Australia, with accommodation, travel, and a generous sales allowance provided.
- Commence on a mutually agreed start date, with the potential for permanent employment following the sale season.
