More Than Ready filly Zindaya led her rivals a merry chase in the License Fee Stakes (LR, 1200m) on turf at Belmont Park on Friday. This win makes the filly More Than Ready’s 141st Stakes winners.

It was her second appearance in black-type company after finishing third in the G3 Autumn Miss Stakes (1600m) at Santa Anita in October.

“She was unlucky (first-up) at Gulfstream Park last month and won very well today,” trainer Christophe Clement said.  “She’s a nice filly and I’m delighted she’s done so well for our new owners Regis Farm.  Long term, it’s so exciting.”

Vinery’s Kentucky breeding division Grapestock LLC sold the filly to Regis Farm owner Nat Rea.  The Canadian businessman founded and sold a multi-billion dollar auto-parts company Martinrea International and bought his first horse in 2012.

Zindaya (4f More Than Ready – Aristocratic Lady by Kris S.) has won 3 times in 8 starts and boosted her earnings to $196,740 after defeating Devilish Love (Not for Love) by more than two lengths on Friday.  She is a younger half-sister to Western Aristocrat (Mr. Greeley) who was G1 Jamaica Hcp winner for Vinery Stables at Belmont Park in 2011.

More Than Ready yearlings averaged $320,000 at the recent Inglis Easter Sale and Vinery has kept his service fee at $66,000 (inc. GST) in 2015.
