DUBLEO two-year-old Twin Zero kicked off his career in the best possible way winning at Muswellbrook this afternoon.
The gelding, trained at Scone by Luke Griffith, started $3.80 on the strength of his impressive 2-lens barrier trial win on his home track last month.
Ridden by Greg Ryan, Twin Zero proved too strong for his opposition running smart time (57.84s) to win the Star Kingdom Handicap 1000m.
As well as the $6300 first prize, Twin Zero’s connections collected a $5000 BOBS top-up.
Twin Zero is from Dubleo’s second crop.
His dam, Blue Lyric, won two races at 2300m and 2400m including one at Warwick Farm.
Other notables in the family include Blue Diamond Stakes winner Road To Success and Concorde Stakes winning sprinter, Condotti.
