Vinery sire Myboycharlie (Ire) has unearthed a third top-class filly in as many seasons following his Group 1 winners Peggy Jean and Jameka.

His unbeaten youngster Zelady’s Night Out has potential plus and has firmed into a second favourite for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 9 after another brilliant victory in the LR Calaway Gal Stakes (1050m) at Doomben on Saturday.

She is the 8th stakes winner by Myboycharlie and is the preferred choice among fillies for the Magic Millions Classic at $4.80 behind Sydney colt Capitalist ($3 favourite).

Zelady’s Night Out (2f Myboycharlie – Zelady by Zeditave) had won by four lengths on debut at Doomben last month and the step up to black-type didn’t present any problems the Tony Gollan trained flyer. “There’s still plenty of improvement to come,” Gollan said after the barrier-to-box victory. “She had a short break at Washpool Lodge after the first-up win and had a bit of belly today.

“She’s the ideal two-year-old because she can jump well, take a position and then sprint in the straight. That run will tighten her up a lot and we will decide next week whether to run again at the Gold Coast on Boxing Day or go straight into the Magic Millions.”

Zelady’s Night Out cost $65,000 at the 2015 Gold Coast Magic Millions and has earned $105,600 for owner Sylvana Surace. She is a half-sister to six winners including Excites Zelady (G3 SAJC Breeders’ Stakes).

Myboycharlie (Danetime) has 3 yearlings catalogued for the Magic Million Sale next month starting with the colt from G3 Qld Tatts Cup winner Sky Love (Lot 848).

There’s another 5 lots by Myboycharlie entered for the Inglis Summer Classic Sale on February 6 kicking off with the half-sister to Flemington Group 3 winner Onemorezeta (Lot 75).
