MORE THAN READY got the ball rolling at Rosehill with his beautifully bred three year-old Lockroy.  Trained by Team Hawkes, he is from Golden Slipper winner Polar Success and is putting his mind on the job after being gelded.

“He’s only got a sharp sprint so the timing has to be perfect,” jockey Tom Berry said.  “The Hawkes stable have changed his riding pattern which is never easy to do and now he’s really hitting the line.”

ONEMORENOMORE took the baton from Vinery’s Champion Sire for Race 3 at Rosehill and his consistent three year-old Final Decision scored an appropriate win in the More Than Ready @ Vinery Hcp (1500m).

Owner-trainer Jason Coyle was going to set Final Decision for the G1 Queensland Derby but decided to stay in Sydney and has been amply rewarded with over $100,000 prizemoney in the last month.

HUSSON chipped in with another $100k when Pop ‘N’ Scotch won the Winter Provincial Stayers Final (2150m) at Ipswich.  He will be given a chance to go one better in this year’s LR Queensland Cup (3200m) at Sunshine Coast on July 4.

Pop ‘N’ Scotch came from last on Saturday and will be suited by the marathon journey.  He was runner-up to Kiwi stayer Iggi Pop as a three year-old in last year’s Queensland Cup.

Husson Eagle is also heading for winter black-type after railing through to win at Flemington on Saturday.  He had finished fourth in a Group 2 at Morphettville last month and will kept in sprints heading towards the LR Creswick Stakes (1200m) on July 11.

“He’s got a lot of class and really is a nice horse,” jockey Jordan Childs said.  “He should be going on to bigger things.”

CASINO PRINCE gelding Flying Casino is in career-best form for trainer John Hickmott after winning for the third time in the last month at Morphettville on Saturday.  He is a younger half-brother to Moonee Valley Group 3 winner Miss Stellabelle.

VINERY was also represented as a winning vendor at Flemington when Clairvaux landed the Lachal Hcp.  The Choisir gelding was sold for $46,000 out of the Vinery draft at the 2011 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
