MOSSMAN enhanced his reputation as one of Australia’s most prolific sires with a three state treble which came within half an hour and included the main feature on today’s stand-alone meeting at Hawkesbury.
Consistently tough Mossman galloper, Neeson made a one act affair of the $100,000 Listed Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m) establishing a big lead over his rivals who were unable to make any inroads as the Randwick trained gelding powered on to a 4 ½ lengths win.
Today’s triumph was the sixth of Neeson’s career from just 13 starts and catapults his earnings beyond $400,000.
Soon after in Melbourne, Peter Moody’s three-year-old colt Tee Emar held on to score a brave and determined win in the final event over 1800m, the same distance at which he had earlier been stakes placed when runner up in the Hill Smith in Adelaide in the spring on 2009.
And finally to Eagle Farm where Ulladulla bagged his third win in four starts taking the QTC Hoppy’s car Wash Plate (C6) timed over the 1200m in a slick 1:09.95.
