MORE Than Ready delivered his 3rd Group 1 winner as a broodmare sire when the Murray Baker trained colt Atlante took out the NZ 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Riccarton Park yesterday.
The Vinery resident has taken no time to establish himself as a future champion broodmare sire in Australasia as more of his daughters make their way to the breeding barn.
Already four of them have produced a stakeswinner including the Group 1 trio of Rebel Dane, Miracles of Life and now Atlante.
All of the quartet are from the Danehill sire line with Atlante and Mona Lisa winning filly, Impetuous, both sired by Fastnet Rock.
Not to be outdone, More Than Ready’s son are also having a significant impact on shaping the new breed with leading sire sons Sebring and Perfectly Ready (in NZ) and Vinery’s own miraculous Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Pluck.
