Testa Rossa notched his 200th individual win for the season in Australia recently and celebrated with another Stakes win in the U.S.

FRENCH bred Testa Rossa gelding Blue Chagall overcame difficulties to score his second Stakes win in the USA.

The five-year-old ran out an 1 1/4-lens winner in the Wickerr Stakes at Del Mar on Wednesday despite confronting every obstacle in the run.

Blue Chagall was in traffic and blocked rounding the bend but was once clear, surged on to a most emphatic victory clocking an electric 1:34.19 secs for the mile.

The win was his second at Stakes level for the Testa Rossa gelding after taking out the Listed Lure Stakes at Oak Tree.

Blue Chagal is part of Testa Rossa’s one and only European crop which arrived in the nothern hemisphere season of 2005.
Other members of the loop include stakeswinner Big Monologue and the stakes performers Silent Sunday and Testama.

Testa Rossa has sired winners in 14 countries far and wide, particuarly across Europe in regions such as Spain, Switzerland and Germany as well as the other major racing centres.
He boasts a lifetime winners to runners ratio of 71.2 percent with his progeny recording over 200 individual wins in Australia in 2009/10 to date.
