IT was a case of sweet sixteen for the upwardly mobile freshman Big Brown whose first crop juvenile winners continue to come thick and fast.

Having last week provided a very impressive winner in Japan, Big Brown’s 16th individual two-year-old winner came closer to home when Get Busy Livin thrashed her rivals to win the USA.

The filly tracked the speed for the most part of her 1209m assignment before making a bold and decisive move in the stretch powering away to a dominant 4.5-lens win.

At the same time in Canada, Big Brown narrowly missed out on a potential 17th juvenile winner after One Foxy Grey was beaten into second by a head.  It was the second placing in as many starts for One Foxy Grey.

Big Brown has emerged as one of North America’s most promising young sires with first crop winners in the USA, Europe and Japan from his 34 runners.  Only Majestic Warrior has sired more first crop winner’s with 23 from 66 starters.

His first Vinery conceived will be offered at various yearling sales in 2013 beginning with 25 sons and daughters at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale scheduled to get underway on January 9 on the Gold Coast.
