TESTA Rossa three-year-old Mandarin confirmed his status as one of the most progressive horses in Hong Kong after scoring the 1400 metre Cox’s Handicap (C3) at Sha Tin.

The John Size trained Testa Rossa gelding crossed from his wide alley to assume the lead soon after the start and was never threatened going onto win by 1.3 lengths.
Mandarin’s latest win is his second and takes his burgeoning record to 5 starts for 2-1-2 with earnings of more than HK$1.1 million.
Foote’s other notable purchases for Hong Kong include world champion sprinter Silent Witness.

Mandarin was bought by bloodstock agent John Foote from Vinery Stud’s 2008 Magic Millions Yearling sale draft.
