PAKENHAM gelding Speediness remains on target for the rich Inglis 3YO Guineas (1600m) at Scone on May 14 after finishing second in Saturday’s Listed Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m).

The son of Vinery resident Testa Rossa is sure to take plenty of improvement out of his latest effort given that it was his first run in nine weeks and his first time racing the ”Sydney way”.

Speediness has turned out to be a bargain for majority owner Edward Thomas who paid just $18,000 for the bay in Melbourne in 2010.

The Colin Scott-trained galloper hasn’t missed a place in his five outings and has already banked close to $80,000 in earnings.
