A BRILLIANT display from last year’s Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready in a recent jump-out was the ideal hit-out as she prepares to take on the unbeaten champion mare Black Caviar in the $500,000 Group 1 VRC Lightning Stakes (1000m) later this month.

The daughter of super sire More Than Ready looked sharper than ever when powered away to pass the line comfortably ahead of her nearest rival.  VIEW HERE (Samaready is in Pink)

Samaready was spelled after her uncustomary failure (4th of 11) on a very heavy track at her only and one start in the spring but trainer Mick Price told TVN that he feels the filly is now back to her best and ready to deliver.
Samaready was the undisputed number one ranked filly at the conclusion of her two-year-old season winning her first four starts including a clean sweep of the Blue Diamond series by a combined margin of 8.3-lens.
She travelled to Sydney where she ran out an easy winner over Snitzerland and co in the Group 2 Reisling Slipper Stakes (1200m) prior to her fast finishing third behind Pierro in the Golden Slipper Stakes.
