MORE Than Ready is in line for a triumphant Group 1 double at Caulfield on Saturday when two of his 123 stakeswinners, Nayeli and Knoydart, go around in separate features.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Nayeli is aiming to deliver More Than Ready his second Blue Diamond Stakes winner to follow Australia’s reigning sprint queen, Samaready who went on to add a second major in the MVRC A. J. Moir (1000m) by 4-lengths.

Nayeli is one of 76 individual winners bred on the explosive More Than Ready/Danehill cross which also boasts three Group 1 winners before this weekend.

Meanwhile the rejuvenated Knoydart is looking for his fourth straight win since being gelded when he tackles the Group 1 MRC Oakleigh Plate (1100m).

The Darley 4YO has drawn perfectly in barrier 5 for in-form jockey James McDonald.

Knoydart’s string of wins include the Listed Canterbury Classic on January 24 prior to his thumping 3.3-lengths victory in the Listed Hareeba Stakes (1200m) at Mornington.

More Than Ready is unlucky not o have already sired an Oakleigh Plate winner; his Golden Slipper placed daughter Elite Falls was beaten a nose in the 2012 running having started from gate 17 of 17.
