MORE Than Ready son Perfectly Ready is set to reclaim top spot on the table of New Zealand Leading First Season Sires with two strong chances in the Group 2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes tomorrow.

Perfectly Ready trails high profile Danehill son Darci Brahma by less than $400 in the race to become the nation’s Champion Freshman for the 2010/11 season.

But with the promising  and locally trained filly Queen Boudicca to represent him in the he $100,000 feature, a changing of the guard looks imminent.

“Perfectly Ready is doing a fantastic job in his first year,” says Vinery Stud’s Adam White.

“He has sired five individual winners, three more than his nearest rival Darci Brahma, and has three stakes performers including the AJC Breeders’ Plate runner-up, Isle be Ready.”

The 2011 Group 2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes is timed to start at 1:26 pm AEST.
