DERWENT, the three-year-old full brother to Vinery’s Gr.1 winning stallion Onemorenomore will make his debut in Adelaide on Saturday.
The Tony McEvoy trained colt has looked razor sharp in his recent trials including a win at Gawler and a close second at Morphettville after that.
Derwent was bred and retained by Scone’s boutique nursery, Cressfield, who sold Onemorenomore at the 2008 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale for $800,000.
Derwent isn’t the only horse with a famous Vinery sibling; All Too Hard’s half-sister Belle Couture is scheduled to kick start her career at Bendigo on Sunday.
Belle Couture was her dam Helsinge’s second Easter sale-topper following on from All Too Hard who had top billing at the 2010 auction.
