Vinery sires had a field day with four winners at the Gold Coast on Saturday and, without doubt, the standout was Gillian Heinrich’s first-starter Windsea.

The Onemorenomore colt bolted in despite being ridden on one rein by jockey Anthony Allen.

Vinery champion Mossman kick-started the meeting with a winning double thanks to Mossimo and Gold Buttons. Later in the day, Casino Prince chimed in with Cantbuybetter who is now unbeaten after three trips to the track from Toowoomba.

Windsea (3c Onemorenomore – Cerinthe by Exceed And Excel) flew the coop in the Marshmallow Man Hcp (1200m) and soon scooted three lengths clear while clocking a first sectional of 34.85s. He maintained that margin but kept lugging out all the way down the straight before Allen sat up and coasted to the line.

Heinrich bought Windsea for $40,000 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions. He’s the first foal of a half-sister to Champion Australian 2YO Victory Vein.

Windsea’s win is the latest of 18 for Onemorenomore this season and follows Japanese Slipper who was very impressive when saluting first-up for Caulfield trainer Luke Oliver on Australia Day.

Japanese Slipper was resuming after a five-month spell at Yarra Valley and has plenty of upside for Epona Park owners Jeff and Janine Allis.   Her dam Penny Opera won in Sydney & Melbourne and she hails from the NZ family of Group 1 winning mare Glamour Puss.

Onemorenomore is a Top 10 sire on the Australian second-season premiership and he can keep rising up the table with the likes of Onemorezeta ready for a return to racing. Trainer Kris Lees gave the star filly a soft trial at Gosford last week – it was her first hit-out since winning the G3 Red Roses (1100m) at Flemington in November.

The next chance to buy a yearling by Onemorenomore is at the Inglis Classic Sale starting next Sunday (February 8). He has four colts catalogued starting with the first foal of Shamardal mare Marquardt (Lot 235) who was a Listed winner in Sydney (AJC Nivison Hcp) and Melbourne (MRC Twilight Glow Stakes).
