CLASSY Perth galloper Flag Officer is on target to take his earnings beyond $250,000 when he lines-up in Saturday’s WATC Dayana Plate (2000m) at Belmont.

The first crop son of Group 1 winning 2YO, Excites, has so far won races and been placed on 6 occasions inside his 14 starts.

As well as winning the Listed T.J. Smith Trophy (1600m) in the autumn, Flag Officer has placed in two other stakes races and ran a brave fourth in the Group 2 WATC Derby.

He also finished runner-up in the Perth Magic Millions 3YO Classic behind Samaready’s half-sister, Night War.

 

Meanwhile, More Than Ready’s Group 1 winning daughter Dreamaway is in action in the Group 3 WATC Strickland Stakes (2000m).

The Bob Peters owned galloper carried off a clean sweep of Perth’s classic’s when she took out the WATC Oaks/Derby double last season during an unbroken sequence of five straight wins.
