Allied Power came good with a vengeance for his sire All Too Hard at Gosford on Thursday.

Unplaced at his first three starts for Peter and Paul Snowden, he let loose for Mitchell Bell and powered home from last to win by two lengths in the Debortoli Emeri Pink Plate (1100m).

“He appreciated the better going today,” stable spokesman Des Fisher said.  “He was a bit further back that we planned but it just shows how good the form was out of his earlier races.

“He’s a nice type and the boys are sure to find another suitable race for him.”

Allied Power (2c All Too Hard – Night War by General Nediym) had finished midfield in the Golden Gift at Rosehill on debut in November and then struggled behind Goodfella on a Heavy 9 at Canterbury before a break.

The winner stayed in training and was runner-up in a Group 3 at Eagle Farm before a flash fourth in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Allied Power races in the China Horse Club colours after going through the Vinery draft for $470,000 at the 2016 Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale.  His dam Night War won a Karrakatta Plate-Gr.2 in Perth and she is an older half-sister to More Than Ready’s Group 1 winner Samaready (Blue Diamond & Moir Stakes).

Night War has an All Too Hard yearling colt with Lee & Anthony Freedman and foaled an All Too Hard filly in October.  She was then bred back to Vinery’s first-season sire Press Statement.

All Too Hard was a Champion 3yo and has notched two Stakes placed 2yo’s in Sydney already over the Autumn.  His first crop are coming good late in their 2yo season – as predicted – and he has two more winning prospects this Saturday with Darhad (Rosehill) and Curdled (Newcastle).
