More Than Ready sired his latest northern-hemisphere 2yo winner on Friday when Huboor was a comfortable winner of the Jersey Lily Nursery (1400m) at Newmarket.

The Vinery legend has sired 15 individual 2yo winners in North America this year for over $1.02 million in prizemoney.

Huboor (2f More Than Ready – Glorification by Champs Elysees) opened her account in England with a comfortable half-length victory over Separate (Cable Bay) and Last Surprise (No Nay Never) for Sheikh Hamdan’s Shadwell Estates.

Jockey Jim Crowley settled close to the pace before taking over at the furlong.  “She has made steady progress through the season and came back bigger and stronger after a summer break,” trainer Mark Johnston said.  “We weren’t absolutely certain about stepping her up to seven furlongs but I’m sure it helped today.

“I can’t say I was always confident but she kept finding once hitting the rising ground.”

Huboor was conceived in Kentucky but sports an (Ire) suffix.  She was bred by China Horse Club and is the first foal of unraced mare Glorification (Champs Elysees) who boasts a top-class black-type pedigree.

Second-dam Light Ballet (Sadler’s Wells) is a sister to the dam of Enable who goes for a history-making hat-trick in the Arc de Triomphe Gr.1 at Longchamp on Sunday.  The Juddmonte Farms mare had just won her first Arc when Huboor was knocked down for €230,000 (AUD 356,660) at the 2017 Goffs November Foal Sale.

More Than Ready heads the Vinery roster at a $55,000 service fee this year alongside All Too Hard ($27,500), Star Turn ($22,000), Headwater ($16,500), Press Statement ($16,500), Casino Prince ($6,600) & Pluck ($6,600).  All fees (inc. GST).
