NEWCASTLE colt Double Five pocketed a $5000 BOBS bonus on top of his $10,400 purse after scoring another impressive first-up win at Gosford yesterday.

The Rodney Ollerton trained Dubleo colt proved much too good for his rivals over 1000m despite starting from the outside alley in the field of 10.
The win was Double Five’s second in succession having run out an impressive 1.3-lens winner at Scone in April before being tipped out.

Double Five was bred by Vinery Stud and sold for $20,000 at the Australian Select Weanling Sale in 2008.

He is one Dubleo’s burgeoning tally of 26 individual winners here in Australia from only two crops of racing age.  The impact of first crop winners Dubleanny and Skateboard etc has been such that Dubleo will cover his largest book this season at a fee of only $4,400 inc GST.
