SUPER sire More Than Ready is now just three new stakeswinners away from joining the `100 Club’ after Australian-bred 3yo filly Oak Park took out the Listed Rotarua Stakes (1400m) in New Zealand on Saturday.

The Murray Baker trained filly won her last start at Ellerslie and with yesterday’s victory, takes her record to 12 starts for 4 wins and 4 placings.

Oak Park is a daughter of Fasliyev mare, Dawnie Dancer, who is a half sister to the stakeswinning 2YO Tantra a member of the eminently successful Freedom Fields clan.

Oak Park is the 97th global stakeswinner sired by More Than Ready who has approached three figures in remarkably quick time.

Other notable sires to have sired 100 (or more) stakeswinners include Danehill, Northern Dancer, Storm Cat, Sir Tristram, Sunday Silence, Sadler’s Wells, Mr Prospector and Vinery’s foundation sire, Red Ransom.

More Than Ready’s latest addition to his own tally comes a day after Vinery Stud announced that his Breeders’ Cup winning son, Pluck, would join the roster in 2012.
