MORE Than Ready filly Nayeli will be given the opportunity to emulate Samaready’s 2012 Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) win after posting a stunning debut win in the ATC Membership on Sale Handicap (1000m) at Randwick-Kensington last Wednesday.

Purchased by Gai Waterhouse for $260,000 at the Magic Millions Sale, Nayeli stalked her rivals throughout before pouncing on the leader half way up the straight then tear away for an empathic 2-lens win.

Nayeli, who races in the familiar colours of Greg and Donna Kolivos of Pierro fame, is one of more than 70 individual winners (including three Group 1 winners) bred on the explosive More Than Ready/Danehill mare nick.

She was bred at Corumbene Stud by George Altomonte out of his own former ace mare, Wasimah, who was a multiple stakes-placegetter in her day.

Mr Altomonte is no stranger to success with Vinery’s stud captain having bred and sold Sebring, one of More Than Ready’s two Golden Slipper winners so far.
