MOSSMAN pair Stirling Grove and Love Conquers All are striving to give their sire more feature race honours when they line up in the Lightning Stakes and Apollo Stakes respectively this Saturday.

Adelaide sprinter Stirling Grove takes on the unbeaten Black Caviar at Flemington while Love Conquers All seeks to turn the tables on Centennial Park who beat him in the Expressway Stakes last start.

“Black Caviar is going to be incredibly hard to beat of course but Stirling Grove won his only time up the Flemington straight over 1000m by 2.3-lens running 57.5s so that ought to stand him in good steed,” Vinery Stud’s Conor Phelan said.

“Love Conquers All was very good first-up and is unbeaten in his only two starts second-up so that would suggest that he’ll bring his A-game to Rosehill on Saturday.

“This is the first time that he has been to 1400m since his Magic Millions 3YO trophy third which was a super effort.”
