MOSSMAN’S prolific ability to sire multiple winners on the same program was evidenced yet again at Doomben with a race to race double via veteran galloper Ulladulla and the emerging talent Mington.

Mington, trained at Gerald Ryan’s satellite stable at Murwillumbah, registered his second impressive win from only four starts when taking out the Brand + Slater Handicap (1110m).
The chestnut’s other win came at the end of his opening two-year-old campaign recording a 4-lens victory at nearby Eagle Farm.

Meanwhile, Ulladulla continues to bank money for connections – close to $300,000 now – after posting his seventh career win this afternoon.

With other wins by Mossanay for Chris Waller at Kembla Grange, the day was topped off by the return of one of Mossman’s outstanding 2YO’s of last season.   Stirling Grove, first up following a 19 week spell returned with a gallant third in today’s Listed SAJC W H Wylie Handicap (1100m) at Morphettville signalling that a big spring lay ahead.

Winner of the Sires’ Produce Stakes and narrowly beaten by boom galloper, Toorak Toff in the Jansz last preparation, Stirling Grove looks set for a big Spring for trainer Richard Jolly.
