AUSTRALIAN-BRED Wonder Mossman continues to thrive in his adopted Macau by adding his fifth stakeswin on the island when taking out the (local G1) Star Of The Sand Stakes last weekend.

The K. C. Chong trained 6YO has won 9 races in total including the Macau Gold Cup, Winter Trophy, Director’s Cup, Sand Specialist as well as last Saturday night’s feature.

Wonder Mossman has also placed in the Macua Derby, Star of The Sand and Director’s Cup.

His earnings in Asia currently stand at more than $4m Macau dollars.

Wonder Mossman was bred by Gerry Harvey and raced for a time here as Racing Eight.

As his name suggests, the horse is by Golden Slipper sire Mossman and out of the impeccably-bred mare Eighth Wonder.

She is a Danehill daughter of the 1998 Melbourne Cup winner, Jezabeel.

Wonder Mossman was one of 11 stakeswinners around the globe for Mossman during the 2013/4 season alongside the likes of Mossfun, Buffering, NZ Oaks winner Miss Mossman, Plucky Belle, Dothraki, Traitor and Tasmania’s undisputed Champion 2YO Admiral who won 6 of his 7 appearances.
