PROGENY of Vinery resident Mossman will lead out both divisions of Queensland’s first metropolitan races set aside for 2YO’s at a sodden Eagle Farm tomorrow.

The Snelleman Tom Plate (1000m) has attracted a near capacity field including the Gold Coast filly Class Of Gold.
Lead the field with the honour of carrying the number 1 saddle cloth is Mossman filly, Class Of Gold.  Out of the former smart mare Coed who was runner-up in the G3 VATC Thoroughbred Club Stakes and finished fourth on debut in the G2 Maribyrnong Plate, this filly was purchased for just $40,000 by John Wallace on behalf of Shoot Out’s owners Grahame and Linda Huddy at the Magic Millions sale.

Meanwhile, Toowoomba galloper Double Impact has also earn’t the number 1 saddlecloth adn is likely to start favourite in the McInnes Wilson Lawyers Plate (100m) after his easy 2-lens in the Hopeful Plate on September 25.

Double Impact was bred by Gerry Harvey and sold for $35,000 at the Gold Coast.
His win at Toowoomba in Australia’s first 2YO race of the new season earned him $48,000 with the potential to add another $32,000 tomorrow.

A win by either horse would see Mossman overtake his associate sire, More Than Ready as Australia’s leading Sire of 2YO’s in 2010/11.
