STAKES-PLACED More Than Ready mare Dysfunction sold for top price of $82,500 at the 2013 Magic Millions Racehorse Sale to wrap up proceedings at the Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Dysfunction was offered as part of the Patinack Farm unreserved dispersal and was snapped up by leading Gold Coast figure Gillian Heinrich (Bloodstock).

While the four-year-old still appears to have more racing in her, Dysfunction is destined for a fruitful career at stud given the extraordinary success of More Than Ready daughters.

From only a relative handful of runners, More Than Ready daughters have produced a bevy of quality horses including the outstanding USA filly Kauai Katie who has won four of her five starts including the Grade 2 Matron Stakes by 7 1/2-lens.  Kauai Katie was undefeated going into the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf last year when fourth and was sent out for a spell.  She returned on New Years Day with an impressive  first up victorty in the Gr.3 Old Hat Stakes at Gulfstream by 8 lengths.

Closer to home, More Than Ready’s broodmare sire stocks are led by South Australian two-year-old Miracles Of Life whose only two lifetime starts have results in wins with a combined margin of 14.5-lens and in New Zealand by first crop Myboycharlie 2yo Charlestown, recent winner of his maiden by 5 lengths and Gr.2 runner this weekend.
