MORE Than Ready the world’s pre-eminent source of champion juvenile, was very much to the fore at the first round of Australia’s official two year old trials held at Canterbury Monday.

Despite having few 2yo’s running, the Vinery Stud resident provided two heat winners from the 11 trials led by Darley owned blueblood Knoydart (ex Regal Cheer) as well as the Clarry Conners trained Lord Duveen who won the opener.

Knoydart, an impressive winner of heat 5, finished a length ahead of Red Excitement, who as his name suggests, is a son of Vinery’s own Excites.

Runner-up in Heat 2 was David Payne’s filly, Temora Girl, who is a daughter of Vinery’s foundation sire Red Ransom.

More Than Ready has arguably the best book of 2yo’s he’s ever produced hitting the track in the next 12 months which should compliment older horses, More JOyous and Dreamaway.
