CHAMPION mare More Joyous is on target to draw level with Black Caviar, Bounding Away and Typhoon Tracy on six Group 1 wins when she contests the $500,000 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington tomorrow.

The daughter of super sire More Than Ready has won five majors so far at Handicap and Weight for Age and against both sexes – the Flight Stakes, George Main Stakes, Toorak Handicap, Futurity Stakes and Queen of the Turf Stakes.

More Joyous is the $2.50 favourite to take out the Myer after her determined second-up win over Sister Madly in the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes at Caulfield on October 15.

Meanwhile, 2009 Golden Slipper winner Phelan Ready looks closer than ever to recording an overdue win when he tackles the Group 2 Salinger Stakes (1200m).

The Queenslander should appreciate coming back to 1200m after an even effort behind Mossman stallion Love Conquers All in the G3 Moonga Stakes last start.
