Vinery champion More Than Ready has more black-type winners on the horizon with promising fillies Nicamorae and More For Me.

Lindsay Park filly Nicamorae was very impressive scoring a two length victory in the Long Tan Hcp (1000m) at Flemington on Friday.  The chestnut filly is a half sister to Group 1 winners Niconero and Nicconi.

Nicamorae (3f More Than Ready – Nicola Lass by Scenic) had won her maiden at Wangaratta first-up after a six month spell on April 6.  “She has really come on since Wang,” stable foreman Tom Dabernig said.  “She’s a well-bred filly and was dominant today.  I think Peter Devitt and the Gordon family will have a bit of fun with her.”

Dabernig mentioned the G3 Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville as a possible target on May 10.

“I was surprised how easily she put them away,” jockey Jake Noonan said.  “She’s gave me a real good turn of foot and is definitely a filly on the way up.”

Nicamorae had star-gazed on debut but was all business at headquarters.  She broke 33 seconds for the last 600m to clock a quick 57.39s for the 1000m sprint down the straight.

More Than Ready followed up his Flemington victory with More For Me at Sandown on Saturday.

More For Me (2f More Than Ready – Langness by Danehill) is trained by Peter Moody for Dynamic Syndications and she was a convincing debut winner of the Catanach’s Jewellers Hcp (1000m).

Her connections have black-type options in Adelaide or Brisbane if she isn’t sent for a winter spell.  “I was always confident in running and she dug in deep,” winning jockey Linda Meech explained.  “She’s not big but is quite powerful.”

Another well-bred filly, she is a daughter of Adelaide stakes winner Langness and made $105,000 as a foal at the 2012 Magic Millions National Sale.  Second-dam Isca (Rory’s Jester) was Group 1 winner of the 1999 Lightning Stakes and Newmarket Hcp at Flemington.

The Aussie double completed another big week for More Than Ready.  His stakes winning mare Ready for Fortune topped the Ocala 2YO Sale with a Tapit colt that made $725,000 on Tuesday.

A More Than Ready colt from Coya (Deputy Minister) made the Top 5 on the Florida leader-board at $550,000.
