LONGPORT has suffered a minor setback and will now make her seasonal return in the Yellowglen Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at Flemington on 2 November.
Trainer Dan Bougoure was originally going to aim her at the Myer Classic (Gr 1, 1600m) but said, “She gave her leg a bump a couple of weeks ago so I had to go easy on her.
Rather than push her trying to get her to the Myer we just backed off her and decided to target the Salinger.”
Bougoure did not ruled out a trip to Perth for the Railway Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) at Ascot on 23 November for the Group Two winner.
