DUBLEO filly Little Vicki won back her purchase price fives times over when she scored today’s keenly contested $22,000 Walcha Maiden over 1000m.

Fourteen horses lined-up in the usually rich maiden run on Walcha Cup each year.
Little Vicki, trained at Wyong by Stephen Farley, proved to be a class above the opposition powering to a comprehensive 2.3 lens win in a slick 57.62 seconds.

The filly was bred at Martin Byrne’s Murralla Stud at Scone and purchased by Farley for just $4000 at the Australian Select Weanling Sale at Newmarket in Sydney.

Little Vicki’s dam, Old Fashioned Lock, is by Arc winner Peintre Celebre out of the the stakeswinning Sir Tristram mare Khaptrist.
Khaptrist is a daughter of former ace filly Khaptivaan whose stakes winners also include the Oakleigh Plate winner, Khaptingly.

Little Vicki’s victory comes one day after Dubleo gelding Double Header’s win at Wellington and two days after Dubleo filly Dublette recorded her fifth placing in seven career starts when runner-up at Kensington on Wednesday.
