FORECASTS of a strong showing by Vinery’s freshman sire Myboycharlie in 2012/13 are gathering strength with another impressive trial winner under the belt this week.

An unnamed Kiwi bred two-year-old by Myboycharlie out of a full sister to the stakes placed More Than Ready mare Readyforcatherine, managed to win his 800m heat at Foxton on Thursday.

The Lisa Latta trained colt was bought for $65,000 at the NZB Select Session Yearling Sale and this eligible for the rich Karaka Million scheduled for Sunday January 27, 2013.

Myboycharlie, a former champion 2YO Group 1 winner himself, has been well supported to become Australia’s Champion First Season Sire in 2012/13.

Myboycharlie’s first Australian 2yo trialler, Charlie Chopsticks won its trial at Warwick Farm on the 14th of September for Bjorn Baker.

“His yearlings were incredibly well received at sales around Australia and across in New Zealand and have found their way into the top stables on both sides of the Tasman,” Vinery’s Adam White said.

“Those that we have seen in the early trials have done well and it won’t be long before we see him have his first winner.”
