GLAMOUR filly More Joyous took up where she left off last spring handing her rivals a demoralising defeat in today’s Group Two AJC Light Fingers Stakes at Randwick.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained 3YO was having her first start since brilliantly winning the Group One AJC Flight Stakes (1600m) at the same venue in the spring.

More Joyous showed extraordinary pace to cross over from her outside alley and was never headed powering to a 1 ¾ len win ahead of Darley filly Trim with Sweepstaking back in third.

Vinery resident More Than Ready played a role in the co-feature Group two AJC Royal Sovereign (1200m) via smart colt More Than Great which finished second by the narrowest of margins to Queenslander Shoot Out.
