JOCKEY Dwayne Dunn believes glamour colt All Too Hard can emulate the deeds of world renowned galloper So You Think when the pair reunite for the first time since they won the Caulfield Guineas together in tomorrow’s Group 1 C. F. Orr Stakes (1400m) in Melbourne.
Dunn has been aboard All Too Hard on all bar two of his nine starts, both other times handing up the reigns to renowned light-weight jockey Chris Munce including for the colt’s Cox Plate mission.
The Team Hawkes’ trained galloper ran the race of his life stretching acknowledged WFA star Ocean Park to the limit going down by under a neck at the finish and earning a joint top WTR ranking in the turf category.
Dunn, an accomplished veteran of Group 1 races for over two decades, can’t hide his excitement when it comes to All The Hard and what lies ahead for the former Easter Yearling sale topper $1.05m).
“I don’t think I’ll get another opportunity to ride a horse with so much upside and potential that could realistically take on the world if all goes well,” Dunn told AAP.
“He can go and do what So You Think did.
“Obviously he lives in the shadow of his sister (Black Caviar), but taking that out of the equation I think he’s put his hand up and deserves every bit of credit he gets for what he’s done.
“He’s handled the pressure really well so far and I don’t think there will be too many horses with an opportunity to travel overseas with the credentials he’s got.”
While the options remain open for where and what races All Too Hard is to tackle, one of the most likely missions for the colt is the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes (1m) at Royal Ascot in the middle of the year.

Tomorrow’s Orr quest will also be the first time that All Too Hard sports the green with white V of new owners Vinery Stud who secured the son of modern day blue hen Helsinge for racing and stud duties in a deal reported to be in the vicinity of $20 million.
