Vinery stallion More Than Ready sired his 133rd stakes winner in Perth on Saturday and, fittingly, it was with the Bob Peters homebred Ideal Image.

Ideal Image (3f More Than Ready – Reflected Image by Bluebird) stormed home to maintain her unbeaten record the LR Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) at Ascot.  She defeated Prete A Partir by a short-head with the Peters owned filly Delicacy another length away third.

The beautifully bred filly had won on debut at Belmont in September before beating older horses at Bunbury a fortnight ago.  “She’s still young and new but I was confident all along she was the best of our three runners,” Peters said.  “Three year-old fillies just can’t do what she did at Bunbury.”

Her dam Reflected Image finished third in the 1999 Burgess Queen Stakes before going on to win the G2 WA Oaks for Peters and his wife Sandra.  The mare had already foaled two stakes winners for the Perth couple including More Than Ready filly New Image (LR Belmont Oaks).

Peters has been a major supporter of More Than Ready winning the 2011 WA Oaks – Derby double with Dreamaway.  And his homebred mare Celebrity Miss claimed the LR Bolton Sprint in July and was last seen finishing third in the LR Farnley Quality.

Ideal Image will now head to the G3 Champion Fillies (1600m) at Ascot on November 15.  She has a More Than Ready 2yo sister that Peters has just named Perfect Reflection.
