MOSSMAN youngster Harry Hotspur can step forward and stake his claim to the $250,000 Inglis Classic (1200m) when he steps out for the first time at Warwick Farm tomorrow.

The Wyong trained gelding was one of the stars at the official 2YO trials in September winning his heat using a combination of pace and sustained speed.

His Breeders’ Plate attempt had to be abandoned after he went shin sore in the lead-up.

The flashy chestnut signalled a bold opening to his career with an impressive win an 800m barrier trial at Wyong on Christmas Eve.

A striking chestnut with plenty of white on his imposing frame, Harry Hotspur was sold for $50,000 at the 2012 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at Newmarket in Sydney from Vinery Stud draft.
