FLASHY youngster Harry Hotspur has drawn the perfect barrier in his quest to take out tomorrow’s $250,000 Inglis Classic (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.

The son of Mossman is guaranteed to improve off his 5.1-lens seventh at Warwick Farm on debut behind Swing Vote and Testa Rossa filly Twilight Royale.

Harry Hotspur has trialled particularly well on several occasions for trainer Kim Waugh winning two his three heats, one of those at the official 2YO trials in Sydney during September.

“Barrier five in the big field will suit him,” says Vinery’s Conor Phelan. “And I think the step up to 1200m from the 1000m is also in his favour. They’ll go fairly quickly again but not as fast as they did at Warwick Farm.”

A Harry Hotspur win in Saturday’s Nursery would deliver Vinery stallions the `Inglis double’ given that Twilight Royale took out the $250,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) last month.
